Overseeing Trivium Life Services General Accounting and Financial Reporting functions and the financial services area including Credit, A/R and A/P. Supporting organization financial objectives by providing financial analyses and recommendations to staff.  Implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls to ensure company assets are adequately safeguarded and all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with all financial policies and US GAAP. 

Reporting to the Director of Accounting, this position provides overall strategic direction and day-to-day management for business operations of Revenue Integrity, and overall Revenue Cycle within Trivium Life Services. Performing a wide variety of leadership, operational, and fiscal responsibilities to ensure that the program is built on evidence-based practices.

Essential Duties

This position includes, but is not limited to, the following essential functions:

  • Produces monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet Statements and ensures accuracy 

  • Provides Balance Sheet account reconciliations, and ensures they are completed on time

  • Ensures corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners, and team

  • Provides support on special requests made by internal or external customers in a timely manner

  • Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP

  • Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

  • Assists with annual audit preparations, as requested, and required

  • Investigates and resolves all audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.

  • Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures

  • Assists with preparing and monitoring budgets

  • Coordinates Ad-hoc projects as necessary 

  • Additional duties as needed and assigned by Director or CFO

    Physical Demands

    These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.  While performing the responsibilities, the employee is required to talk and hear.  The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel and to manipulate keys on a keyboard.  The employee is often required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.  Vision abilities required by this job include close and distant vision. The employee must be able to travel between locations, and occasionally attend seminars which may require an overnight stay.

    Working Conditions

    Working conditions are normal for an office environment.  The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.  Work requires occasional weekend and/or evening work and the ability to remain on-call and available to provide management support in event of emergencies. The employee is expected to travel locally, regionally, and nationally to visit company offices, business clients, engage in business activity, and attend conferences.  Expected overnight travel=10%.

    Requirements/Qualifications

     This position will have the following experience and attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required; CPA credentials are preferred

  • 3 or more years of progressive accounting experience, but open to all skill levels depending on background, degrees and skills 

  • Experience with NetSuite preferred

  • Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

  • Any industry experience within the Non-Profit, Healthcare, Governmental, or related industry highly sought after but not a must-have
